Police in a statement said that both the Constable, who was driving a car and the victim, who was riding a motorcycle, were proceeding east along Rupert Craig Highway. The Constable was driving along the southern lane while the Security Guard was on the northern drive lane.

“As he approached the intersection at UG Access Road, the Motor Cycle attempted to adapt the southern drive lane and drove into his path colliding with the motor cycle causing the motorcyclist fell onto the car window screen and then onto the road surface where she received injuries about her body,” the Police statement said.
The EMT personnel arrived on the scene and the motor cyclist was pronounced dead on the scene by Dr. Rickets of the Georgetown Public Hospital. Her body was taken to the Lyken Funeral home and is awaiting a post-mortem examination.

The vehicles were lodged to be examined by the licensing and certifying officer.
A breathalyzer test was conducted on the Police Constable and he was found to have 0.00% micrograms in breath level. He is in police custody assisting with investigations.
