The woman ran to the roadway where the couple started fighting. She reportedly took away the knife and dealt him two stabs to his chest after which she ran to the Central Police Station where she made a report.
Giddings was rushed to the New Amsterdam Public Hospital where he died while receiving treatment.
Reports are that the couple had been in a relationship for the past four years during which time Giddings was reportedly “very much abusive”.
