Dear Editor,

Some churches have become an epicenter for corruption and all kind of financial and biblical impropriety. We have seen the prosperity of many church leaders which is under the guise of God’s blessing but it is a reality of massive corruption and financial malpractices.

These leaders have the most luxurious homes while members live in shacks and run-down homes, they drive the best while members are still walking (these same leaders would pass members on the road without offering them a drop.), they have the best clothes while members are struggling to buy quality clothes, they have the latest gadgets while members have none or the cheapest.

The members are struggling to make it each day but yet these charlatans would dare them to give all they have to receive a blessing or even preach lies about sowing seed. These members blindly gave, but never see the blessing.  These leaders are the only ones experiencing such.

The church for them is a money-making machine that supports their braggadocios lifestyle at the expense of the congregation. They are the only ones experiencing prosperity while the members struggle. To take shame out of their eyes they do the bare minimum and amplify it.

The orphans and widows are ignored since they do not have much. These leaders seldom visit members as they are required to by the scriptures. If they are contacted they are “always busy.”

The truth is that these people do not know Christ nor do their members. It is a case of the blind leading the blind. When their leaders have a need the church gives an offering but when members are in need they pray for them.

Believers must know the Lord for themselves and speak out against the injustices happening today in the church, especially these independent churches. Call for checks and balances demand the church finances be audited.

Demand a board be set up to monitor sending and this board members must not be selected by the leader but by the congregation and they should be changed annually. God’s desire isn’t for the leader to live large while members suffer.

Believers stand up and don’t allow anyone to fool or manipulate you.

Luke 12:15 AMPC

“And He said to them, Guard yourselves and keep free from all covetousness (the immoderate desire for wealth, the greedy longing to have more); for a man’s life does not consist in and is not derived from possessing overflowing abundance or that which is over and above his needs.”

Yours Truly,

Lincoln Robinson
