Dear Editor,

I write to note that Guyana has descended to a new low in its gutter politics. Imagine Vice President Jagdeo berating Afro-Guyanese leaders for not encouraging Afro-Guyanese to make use of the opportunities that are presently available, when his Government closed down the Night Schools in Sophia and Kildonon. The Government has consciously, and I dare say vindictively, denied the youths of those communities a second opportunity at CSEC, but now tells the nation that he and his Government has the African Guyanese interest at heart, more than anyone else.

The politics to poison and re-enslave the minds of Guyanese cannot get worse..

Yours truly,
Vincent Alexander
