Both Kishun and the minibus were reportedly proceeding west along the southern side of the Enmore Public Road when the minibus suddenly stopped and reversed into Kishun’s path to pick up a passenger who was standing on the northern side of the road.

The sudden stop by the minibus caused Kishun to swerve north but despite her efforts, the left handle of her bicycle collided with the ride side rear of the minibus, causing her to fall onto the road.

The elderly woman was picked up in an unconscious condition by the driver of the minibus and was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) where she was pronounced dead.

Kishun’s body is at the GPHC’s mortuary awaiting a post mortem examination.
