Chainsaw operator stabbed to chest

The police are searching for a man who allegedly stabbed a 19-year-old chainsaw operator from Wauna, Mabaruma who is now in stable condition in the hospital.

According to reports, the act was met out to Cleveland Fredricks on Saturday at about 22:20hrs. Inquiries disclosed that Fredricks left his home earlier in the day with his cousin to make a purchase.

His father, John Cleveland, said that about 22:40 hours, when he was at home, he heard a knock on the outside wall of his house and upon checking he found the victim in a black, long pants without a shirt and two stab wounds to his victim’s chest which was bleeding at the time.

He then asked the victim what happened and the victim told him that Winston Boyer stabbed him. He was rushed to the Mabaruma Regional Hospital where he was seen and examined by a who admitted him as a patient in a stable condition.

A report was made at the Mabaruma Police Station however, a statement has not yet been taken and the scene is yet to be visited. The suspect has not yet been arrested even as investigations are ongoing.
