Minibus driver killed in Soesdyke-Linden Highway accident

A 31-year-old minibus driver of Prashad Nagar, was on Tuesday night killed in an accident on the Soesdyke- Linden Highway.

The dead man has been identified as Uriel Reynolds.
According to Police, the accident occurred at about 19:15h. Reports are that the driver of a car which was proceeding west of the Soesdyke Highway collided with a pickup which was heading east causing the driver of the pickup to lose control and collide with Reynolds’ bus (PPP 3468).

Reynolds was picked up in an unconscious state and rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital along with another occupant of the minibus. He was pronounced dead on arrival.

Meanwhile, a breathalyzer test was conducted on both the driver of the car and the pickup respectively; no trace of alcohol was found.

Investigations are ongoing.
