Enquiries disclosed that on the date and time mentioned above, the victim and his wife Bibi Kentolall were at their neighbour’s home when he saw two of the four suspects entered the lower flat of their house through a southern door which was left open and removed the articles that were in a bag on a table in the lower flat. The victim immediately went to his house where he confronted two of the suspects and dealt them several lashes with a piece of wood, the two men then ran out of the home and made good their escape on foot leaving the other two that entered the house behind. The victim then went to the front of the house where he confronted the other two suspects one of whom was armed with a handgun.

The armed suspects immediately discharged a round from the firearm, no one was injured and exited the rear of the house and made good their escape in an unknown direction. One .32 spent shell was recovered at the scene. Checks are being made for one of the suspects who was identified  and the others, police said.
