On Saturday around 17:45 hrs, London and his reputed wife went to visit a friend at ‘C’ Field Sophia after which the woman left to buy barbeque, leaving  London and the friend sitting on a bench in front of the friend’s yard.

Further enquiries revealed that about 18:35 hrs, while London and his friend were still on the bench talking, the two suspects approached on foot and at a short distance away they both pulled out hand guns from their pants pockets, pointed same in the direction of the victim and discharged several rounds which hit him after which he fell to the ground.  According to the friend he threw himself to the ground immediately and waited until the men left.  He received no injuries.

After shooting the victim, the two suspects then ran west on the said street and made good of their escape.
The victim’s reputed wife returned shortly after to the scene and she along with public-spirited citizens escorted London to the GPHC in a motor car where he was seen and examined by a doctor on duty and pronounced dead. London police said received five gun shot wounds  about the head arm and body and is
presently lying at the Georgetown Public Hospital Mortuary awaiting Post Mortem Examination.

Checks were made to locate the suspects but without success unto this time, the police said.
