The vehicle of television journalist Travis Chase was destroyed early Monday morning when someone allegedly set it ablaze at the Department of Public Service annex on Vlissengen Road, Georgetown.

Chase told reporters he was at home nearby when he was alerted by security guards at the department’s compound about the fire. He said when he rushed across his vehicle was engulfed in flames. Two other vehicles a minibus and car that were under the parking shed were also damaged.

Chase said he has no problem with anyone. “I don’t know who would want to do this,” I have no enemies.” Police are investigating the matter. Village Voice understands Chase recently purchased the Honda CRV vehicle. In addition to his work as a journalist he is a partner of a gold dealership
