He confirmed via Facebook that he hosted a meeting with Aubrey Norton, the Opposition Leader of Guyana, and other key members of the parliamentary opposition. Their discussion revolved around building an inclusive and equitable Guyanese economy and society, with a particular focus on the Afro-Guyanese community. There was a clear intent to address racial inequalities and emphasize the importance of equal protection under the law for all Guyanese.
Burke’s fiery criticism and Congressman Jeffries’ diplomatic tone underscored the importance of the complex challenges faced by Guyana.
