Dead is Wanita Scott.

Reports are that Scott, who serves as secretary of the Baramita Community Development Council (CDC), was among several  passengers in a minibus bearing registration BPP-9730 when the vehicle turned turtle along the roadway. The group was reportedly heading to the village from Matthews Ridge when tragedy struck.

The village council confirmed her death and relatives and friends of the woman were shocked to hear of her passing. The group was said to have left Matthews Ridge in a joyful mood; a male friend noted that Scott and her family left for Baramita around 1800hrs.

Scott sustained injuries to her upper body and reports are that the woman succumbed as the group awaited assistance.
