Suriname deports four Guyanese convicts

Suriname authorities on Sunday handed over to local police four Guyanese nationals who were being held in that country as prisoners serving sentences for various crimes.

The men were received by Inspector Marlon Odonghue, Detective Sergeant #18065 Benjamin and a party of ranks from the GPF.

The four Guyanese nationals are:
(1) Andre Ragmangal, 39 years, of lot 151 Bartica;
Govinda Dhanraj, 31 years of Lot 392 Non Pareil,  East Coast Demerara;
Shanandeen Bacchus, 47 years of Corentyne Berbice
and Nazim Shaw, 58 years of Parika, East Bank Essequibo. They were all processed and are presently in custody.                                    Bacchus  was serving a  two-year sentence  for trafficking in narcotics; Rajmangal -overstay in Suriname and was imprisoned for one month; Dhanraj was imprisoned for two months for domestic violence assault and Shaw was imprisoned for two years for wounding.
