The woman, identified as Babita Ali, had reportedly suffered years of abuse at the hands of her spouse, with the situation culminating in this horrific outcome. As the search for the suspect continues, the incident underscores the pressing issue of gender-based violence in Guyana, a crisis that often ends in devastating consequences.
