Caribbean Airlines has announced further adjustments to its regional network, including the discontinuation of several routes and a reduction in service frequency to two French Caribbean destinations.
In a statement issued on Friday, the airline said that effective June 1, 2026, it will discontinue services on the Dominica route, the St. Kitts route and the Ogle-to-Suriname route as part of its ongoing network adjustment strategy.
The move will affect passengers travelling between Eugene F. Correia International Airport and Suriname, a route that has served travellers and businesses moving between the neighbouring countries.
In addition to the route closures, Caribbean Airlines said it will reduce its flight frequencies to Martinique and Guadeloupe to twice weekly.
The airline said customers holding bookings on the affected services beyond the applicable discontinuation dates will be contacted directly by Caribbean Airlines or through their travel agents.
Affected passengers will be offered a range of options, including re-accommodation on alternative regional services where possible, alternative itineraries using Caribbean Airlines and partner connections, a full refund of the unused portion of their tickets, or the retention of ticket value as future travel credit subject to fare conditions.
The carrier said it is also working to finalise a codeshare agreement with a regional airline partner. Once approved, the arrangement is expected to provide customers with access to a broader network of destinations through coordinated schedules, seamless connections and integrated ticketing services.
While the airline did not provide reasons for the route adjustments, network reviews and service rationalisation are common industry practices used by airlines to align operations with passenger demand, operational efficiency and commercial objectives.
Caribbean Airlines said it will undertake all necessary operational, regulatory and customer-support measures to ensure a smooth transition for affected travellers.
The airline, headquartered in Port of Spain, operates an extensive regional network connecting destinations across the Caribbean, as well as services to North America and South America. The latest changes form part of what the carrier described as its continued network adjustment strategy aimed at strengthening operations while maintaining connectivity across the region.
