Women robbed of cell phones, jewelry at Meadow Bank Wharf

Two women were on Monday robbed of cash and jewelry while at ‘Wild Caught Fresh’ fish depot, located at Meadow Bank Wharf by two armed unidentified men.

The victims have been identified as 43-year-old Rental Joseph of Onderneemins, West Bank Demerara (WBD)and 19-year-old Ariel Margaret of Prospect, East Bank Demerara.

According to Police, the women were  allegedly robbed by two unidentified males, one of which wielded a silver hand gun.

“A large quantity of cash as well as other values including cellular phones and jewellery; were Taken by the two men who escaped using a black and red Honda XR Motor Cycle,” Police said.

No arrests have been made.

Investigations are ongoing.
