What is afoot in the Hearings in the Mohamed’s Matter

The court is being used as a political pawn in what everyone knows is a politically charged case. The Americans don’t really want the Mohamed’s. The Biden administration was asked to sanction the Mohamed’s because he has been a political threat to the PPP.

Reliable sources have informed that the two leaders of the PPP (the President and the General Secretary) do not want Mr. Azruddin Mohamed to become the official Opposition Leader and or to sit in parliament although he has been so chosen by the voters since September 1. The ruling party has prevented the recall of parliament to choose the opposition leader and his swearing in and to debate policies to hold the government accountable.

It has been learned from reliable sources that a plan is afoot to commit (imprison) the Mohamed’s while their lawyers appeal various rulings. The magistrate hearing should have been suspended as the Mohamed’s challenge the constitutionality of the law under which they are being tried. The Acting Chief Justice ruled against the Mohamed’s; that ruling is not surprising; it is being appealed. As the appeal is being heard, the magistrate should have suspended the trial till the constitutional matter has been disposed of.

But there is a plan afoot that will prevent Azruddin from entering parliament for the budget presentation likely in two weeks. If the hearing is not completed and Azruddin committed in jail in two weeks, parliament will be further delayed.

Yours truly,

Lincoln Chase
