PNCR/APNU’s Statement on Passing of former Suriname President, Ronald Runaldo Venetiaan

The People’s National Congress Reform (PNCR)/A Partnership for National Unity (APNU) extends its sincerest condolences to the President and people of Suriname on the passing of former President of the Republic of Suriname, Ronald Runaldo Venetiaan.

President Venetiaan was a respected Statesman and a champion of democratic values, whose contributions to the development and progress of his country will be remembered for generations to come. His commitment to the ideals of democracy, social justice, and human rights has left an indelible mark on the history of Suriname.

As a respected regional leader, President Venetiaan’s presidency was marked by his efforts to promote unity, stability, and economic growth in Suriname. His legacy serves as a testament to the importance of leadership, vision, and an unwavering commitment to one’s nation’s well-being.

The PNCR/APNU joins the people of Suriname in mourning the loss of a true national hero and offers our deepest condolences to President Jennifer Geerlings-Simons, the government and people of Suriname, as well as to President Venetiaan’s family and loved ones.

We take comfort in the knowledge that President Venetiaan’s spirit of service, dedication to the people of Suriname, and unwavering commitment to democracy and human rights will continue to inspire future generations.

May the soul of President Ronald Runaldo Venetiaan Rest in Peace!
