The Guyana Pandits Mission (GPM) recently visited the home of the late Navindra Mahes, the 15-year-old student of Annandale Secondary School who tragically lost his life after being struck last  by a motor car driven by a police officer along the East Coast Highway while on his way to school last Thursday morning. Reports indicate that the young student was at the time using the pedestrian crossing.

Five Pandits representing the Mission visited the grieving family’s home, where they conducted a brief prayer service for the departed soul and offered words of comfort and strength to the bereaved relatives. The Mission also rendered financial assistance to the family to help ease their immediate burdens during this difficult time.

“Dharma teaches us that service to humanity is service to God,” the Mission stated, reaffirming its commitment to standing with the community in times of tragedy and to upholding the values of compassion, unity, and selfless service that form the foundation of Sanatan Dharma.

The Guyana Pandits Mission extended heartfelt condolences to the family, relatives, friends, and classmates of young Navindra Mahes. “May his soul attain peace, and may Bhagwan grant strength to those he has left behind,” the statement concluded.
