A reliable source (whistleblower)  within the People’s Progressive Party Civic (PPP/C) reports that the top brass believes the next round of Local Government Elections will see them victorious in all local constituencies. Speaking with Village Voice News the whistle blower said the party has already begun putting systems in place to acquire citizens homes and Lands in key Local Government areas  countrywide.
“Voter apathy is going to finish them” the whistle blower added, while stating that “ the top brass in the party are discussing and determining who are not paying taxes for lands, homes and businesses to acquire them for large projects, hotels and apartment buildings.”  When asked to clarify the whistleblower stated “look at the turnout for General ELections and recent Local Government Elections, who stayed home .”
The whistle blower specifically cited homes and land owned in the Georgetown is crucial for big real estate projects in Kingston, Alberttown Queenstown, South Georgetown, and many along Regent, Robb, Church, Croal, North Road, Hadfield, Durban, Bent and Princess streets, along with homes in East and West Ruimveldt. These targeted areas the whistle blower said will be used to facilitate access to prime property in the city to attract foreign investors.
Meanwhile, lands in Regions Five and Six are being looked at for potential investors spin off service bonds. The whistleblower said “ not one of the top brass has spoken on developing new industries for the employment of the young Guyanese.”
The Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM) failure to heed the international community’s recommendations via its Observer Missions to include biometrics into the electoral process and the very PPP/C government refusal to include reform of campaign financing in Guyana has been a sore point of contention raised by the former opposition parties in the lead up to the 2025 September 1 General and Regional Elections.
The PPP/C whistleblower warned that “Guyanese whose land and home owners taxes are in default will be targeted and taken away should the PPP/C win the representation on Neighborhood Democratic Councils and Mayoral Elections in constituencies countrywide.
In January 2023, the PPP/C Government, through the use of the  Guyana Police Force, had bulldozed citizens in Mocha Arcadia out of their homes under the pretext of the occupied lands being state lands and needed for use by the state for highway construction purposes. This proved not to be true. No road passed through the area, the lands were parceled out and distributed to PPP allies.
Another PPP whistleblower, who in fear for his life spoke to a veteran journalist via video for safe keeping, which was later released, spoke of corruption within the PPP Government. The whistleblower specifically listed the Mocha Arcadia lands being sold and ordered resold to PPP Ministers and families aligned to the PPP/C. The whistle blower has never recalled those statements.
In the lead up to the September 1 2025 Elections non-PPP party leaders were attacked, harassed, arrested and blocked from campaigning in villages throughout Guyana.  Ten-days government workers were also used to disrupt meetings of political rivals
Guyanese saw an example of the PPP track record of bullying citizens, terrorism and corruption. One Randy Williams, in a social media post, exposed what many believed is a widespread practice. He alleged that Gilbert Anthony, chair of the Muruwa CDC, told residents of the area that they would longer be allowed to use the transportation service, provided by the government. The denial of access to government is reportedly because the residents supported the We Invest In Nationhood (WIN) party in the September 1 Elections.
Meanwhile, in a recent quick poll by Village Voice News, Guyanese respondents countrywide have disputed the claims of voter apathy in any new elections. The countrywide poll showed that Local Government Elections will see greater voter participation than previously recorded.
The poll identified that the social media daily blitz of fear mongering, brutality and intimidation  by the PPP,  have Guyanese even more scared for their livelihood and their families’ future within their communities under the new 2025 PPP Government.
