Guyanese legal professional Tatianna Famey, LL.B, PCert, LL.M., has offered a passionate endorsement of the We Invest In Nationhood (WIN) movement and its leader, Azruddin Mohamed, ahead of the September 1, 2025 General and Regional Elections.

In an statement Famey called on citizens, particularly young people, to reject political indifference and recognise the direct impact of politics on everyday life. From the cost of living to job opportunities, public safety, and justice, she stressed that political decisions shape the foundation of Guyanese society. She warned that in a nation experiencing rapid economic growth, complacency can no longer be an option.

Famey praised Mohamed’s leadership as visionary and compassionate, saying it reflects the kind of change Guyana needs. She highlighted the struggles of single mothers, disenfranchised youth, and overlooked professionals, and pointed to the WIN movement as a credible path toward reform. With a vision for a nation that empowers its people and prioritises development that reaches every community, she declared, “This is our time, our movement, and our mandate to reclaim Guyana for the many, not the few.”

See statement below:

“Man is by nature a political animal.” – Aristotle.

My fellow builders of a better Guyana,

Now is not the time to loosely say, “I don’t get involved in politics” or “That doesn’t put money in my pocket.” Politics shapes every aspect of our lives, from the quality of education our children receive to the safety of our communities to the price of our groceries and the level of justice we get. It’s the job opportunity that passed you by, the system that feels rigged, the promise of development that never seems to reach our streets.

I’ve watched brilliant, qualified, driven young Guyanese walk away from their dreams because the system locked them out. It made me realise that we cannot be complacent about who we elect to articulate and actualise policies that are in our best interest as a nation. It’s no secret that Guyana is the fastest growing economy in the world, and with that growth comes great responsibility. We cannot afford to be lagging digitally, judicially, infrastructurally, or with our national security.

As a legal-minded young professional, I unequivocally endorse the leader of the We Invest In Nationhood movement, Mr. Azruddin Mohamed. Mr. Mohamed’s leadership aligns with what empathetic and strategic change should look like for Guyana. It hears the cries of the single mothers who are trying their best, the youngsters who are being failed by a broken system that needs reform, and the intelligent professionals who are being robbed of opportunities for social mobility.

I appeal to the youths, be politically inclined. Be intentional with your voice, your vote, and your influence. We can’t keep complaining about bad leadership while refusing to vote, speak up, or show up. Change doesn’t come from the sidelines.

Envision a Guyana where the brightest minds no longer have to migrate to succeed. A Guyana that invests in its people and protects its future.

Our revolution will not only be televised, it will be mobilised and actualised.

This is our time, our movement, and our mandate to reclaim Guyana for the many, not the few. Under a WIN leadership, we will rise, rebuild, and reimagine a nation where no one is left behind.
