The stage is set for what promises to be one of the most spectacular cultural celebrations of the year as the Miss Guyana Culture Queen 2025 Pageant has been officially scheduled for Saturday, June 21st at the National Cultural Center at 7PM.

The highly anticipated coronation night will see seven remarkable young women from across Guyana compete for the coveted crown, with the winner earning the prestigious opportunity to represent the country at the Miss Caribbean Culture Queen Pageant in St. Kitts later this year.

The stakes couldn’t be higher for this year’s competition. Guyana has dominated the regional pageant stage with back-to-back victories, making history with Shemina Peroune’s groundbreaking win in 2023 as the first Guyanese to claim the title, followed by Shequana Holder’s triumphant victory in 2024. Now, the nation holds its breath as these seven cultural ambassadors prepare to compete for the chance to secure an unprecedented third consecutive international crown.

“This pageant represents more than just a competition, it’s a celebration of everything that makes Guyana unique in the Caribbean,” said Randy Madray, franchise holder for Miss Guyana Culture Queen. “These contestants embody our nation’s rich cultural diversity, and June 21st will showcase that heritage on the grandest stage.”

The contestants, who were officially sashed at the exclusive “Brunch in Paradise” event at Scotty’s Smoke House on May 18th, represent communities from across the country. From the indigenous community of Kwebana to the mining town of Linden, from coastal settlements to agricultural areas, the diverse lineup truly reflects Guyana’s status as the Caribbean’s melting pot.

The seven confirmed contestants who will compete on June 21st are:

  • Contestant #2: Donelle Harvey (Tuschen)
  • Contestant #3: Akeisha Dalton (Land of Canaan)
  • Contestant #4: Destiny Etienne (Linden)
  • Contestant #5: Kelis Johnson (Linden)
  • Contestant #6: Arinna Williams (Kwebana)
  • Contestant #7: Shadiamond Assanah (Melanie)

Madray said the National Cultural Center provides the perfect backdrop for this cultural extravaganza. “The venue has hosted countless memorable performances and celebrations throughout Guyana’s history, and June 21st promises to add another unforgettable chapter to its legacy,” he said.

Over the next three weeks, these cultural ambassadors will undergo intensive preparation, honing their skills in public speaking, cultural knowledge, runway presentation, and talent performance, trained by renowned pageant expert, Alicia Bess-Anderson, owner of Prestige Pageant Management and styled by Miguel Ram of Miguel’s Beauty Creations. Each contestant brings her own unique story and perspective, representing the diverse communities that make up modern Guyana.

The evening promises to be a feast for the senses, featuring traditional and contemporary elements that showcase Guyana’s cultural evolution. From stunning evening gowns to cultural wear that celebrates our heritage, from eloquent speeches to captivating talent performances, the coronation will offer something for every patron.

The Miss Guyana Culture Queen franchise has transformed under Madray’s leadership since 2019, evolving from a national competition to an internationally recognized platform. The pageant’s success on the regional stage has brought unprecedented attention to Guyana’s cultural richness and the exceptional quality of its young women.

As excitement builds toward June 21st, one question remains on everyone’s mind: which of these remarkable contestants will join the exclusive ranks of Guyanese Miss Caribbean Culture Queen winners? The answer lies just weeks away on what promises to be an unforgettable night of cultural celebration.

Ticket information and further details about the Miss Guyana Culture Queen 2025 coronation will be announced soon.

The countdown to June 21st has officially begun. Will Guyana make history with a third consecutive regional crown? The answer awaits at the National Cultural Center.
