Omaiah Hall Named 2025 Road March Champion

In a thrilling display of energy and talent, Guyanese soca sensation and creative, Omaiah Hall has been crowned the 2025 Road March Champion. At just 23 years old, Hall has already made a name for herself with electrifying performances and infectious hits, cementing her place as one of the rising stars of Caribbean music.

From a young age, Hall was surrounded by music and the arts, but soca, she says, “found me, collected me, and it was the best thing that could’ve happened to me.” Her journey has been fueled by the influence of soca powerhouses like Patrice Roberts, Machel Montano, Bunji Garlin, and Fay Ann Lyons, the latter of whom Hall recently had the honour of performing alongside.

With an undeniable stage and social media presence, Hall has captivated audiences at major events such as the CPL Pre-Show and the Emancipation Dinner & Cultural Extravaganza. Her hits, including Breakaway and For the Night, have become anthems for soca lovers, leading her to this historic road march win.

But the road to success has not been without its challenges. “It’s not an easy industry,” Hall admits. “Staying committed and motivated are definitely some challenges, and finding a big break is still a struggle. But I know this is what I want, and even on the hard days, I remind myself that it’ll get better.”

Hall’s journey to the Road March title was one of perseverance and determination. “I wanted this title so bad, and I’m still on a high. It’s my first, and hopefully, the first of many,” she says. Coming off a major jump from not placing in 2024 to securing third place in the 2025 Soca Monarch competition, Hall is already setting her sights on the crown. “Preparations were challenging—many nights I was fighting—but I was far from alone. My team, the girls, everyone held it down. We will get that crown for sure soon.”

For those hoping to follow in her footsteps, Hall has one key piece of advice: “Be yourself. Do you. Your people will find you.”
