Guyanese man froze to death in Richmond Hill, New York

Guyanese American, Shameer Bacchus, formerly of 108 street & 107 Avenue, Richmond Hill, New York, USA  froze to death last Sunday, December 22, 2024. The announcement, made in a social media post earlier today said the deceased lived in a garage with holes in the roof.  On the day of his death the was reported to be 17 degrees outside.

It is reported Bacchus was very popular and his family previously took out a life insurance on him.

Bacchus’ funeral will be held tomorrow, Monday, Dec 30th at the Bergen Funeral Home on 102-17 101 Avenue, Ozone Park NY.
