The prestigious United States’ “Marquis Who’s Who Millennium Magazine” has named Guyanese Dr. Vivian M. Williams, Esq., DBA in its 17th Edition. 

The objective of the magazine’s founder, Albert Nelson Marquis, is to “chronicle the lives of individuals whose achievements and contributions to society make them subjects of widespread reference interest and inquiry.”

Williams ranks among this elite group because of his unique skillset that includes legal expertise, antitrust and economics, business administration and crisis management competencies, the 125-year-old magazine notes.

Williams was born in New Amsterdam, in the Ancient County of Berbice. He was formerly a teacher, trained at the Cyril Potter College of Education. He later joined the media fraternity as a journalist, working with Evening News, Channel 28 Television, under the ownership of Anthony “Tony” Vieira. He is also a known playwright.

Williams’ tertiary education started at the University of Guyana where he pursued undergraduate studies in Communication. He pursued further studies at the London School of Economics in the United Kingdom, Baruch College in New York, George Mason Law School in Virginia; Cardozo School of Law in New York. Williams has a Doctorate in Business Administration from Baruch College.

In the United States, Williams studied law, economic, business administration, and crisis management and has amassed a distinguished career in his fields of practice.

He is admitted to practice law in Guyana, United States, and other countries, including the Caribbean. Williams is the attorney-at-law  for the persons of Cane View/Mocha Arcadia whose lands were confiscated by the government.

According to the Who’s Who Magazine for “two decades, Dr. Vivian M. Williams, Esq., DBA has been helping individuals and companies navigate legal challenges and reduce risk and turbulence.”

Williams is also an educator in the USA, working as adjunct professor, and a contributing author “Oil and Climate Change in Guyana and Suriname Petro Basin,” published by Routledge in 2024.

He is President of VMW Law, P.C, and oversees the global expansion of his practice according to Millennium.

A visit to the firm’s website advises the practice “strives to provide the highest quality legal services” and “[c]lients benefit from a diversity of experience, exceptional professional judgment, and a dynamic and proactive approach to litigation and legal services.”

The practice prides itself in using an interdisciplinary approach which broadens its “vision and perspective of legal solutions resulting in versatility that produces results.”
