According to reports, Munroe was searched and arrested by police around 03:45 am on December 14. He was found to be in possession of a 32 Taurus pistol and 9 rounds of ammunition.

The patrol team was led by an Assistant Superintendent, who stopped the car Munroe was driving along Cummings Street, Georgetown. During the search, Munroe was asked if he had a licence to carry the firearm, which he replied ‘no’. He said the firearm was owned by the security service he works with.

He was escorted to the Alberttown Police Station, along with the firearm and ammunition which were taken for analysis. Munroe was placed into custody as investigations continue. (Loop News)
