Reflecting on her pageant experience, she fondly recalls attending local competitions and meeting new people from diverse backgrounds. “It’s not just about the glitz and glamour. It’s about connecting with others, exchanging ideas, and drawing inspiration from their unique stories,” she shared. These moments fuel her commitment to advocacy and her desire to represent her platform with greater purpose.

Personal Growth and a New Perspective

The pageant journey has been transformative, pushing her beyond her comfort zone and fostering self-confidence. “I’ve learned to value my voice and stay true to my values, even in challenging situations,” she said. This experience has left her more resilient, authentic, and determined to inspire others.

Using Pageantry as a Catalyst for Change

For Denesea, beauty pageants are more than a display of elegance; they’re a platform for meaningful discussions on social issues like education, gender equality, and disability rights. She believes that the power of pageantry lies in its ability to spark conversations, drive action, and inspire audiences worldwide. She emphasizes that effective leadership requires compassion, resilience, and the ability to inspire others.

“These qualities are at the core of who I am, and I strive to embody them in everything I do,” she remarked. As Miss Teen Charm Guyana, she aims to lead by example, using her platform to make a positive impact.

Beyond the crown

As she prepares to compete on the global stage, her ultimate goal is to raise awareness for disability rights, inspire young people, and demonstrate that with determination, anything is possible. Her vision for the pageant world includes a greater focus on contestants’ societal impact rather than physical appearance, fostering a more inclusive and empowering environment.

Unwinding with Family and Nature

Amid the whirlwind of pageant life, she cherishes moments of peace spent with her family, enjoying nature, or delving into a good book. These moments help her recharge and reflect, ensuring she’s ready for the challenges ahead.

Miss Teen Charm Guyana 2024 exemplifies the power of purpose and resilience. As she takes the stage, she carries not just the hopes of her nation but a commitment to inspire change and empower others to create a more inclusive world.

One initiative that resonates deeply with her is the First Lady’s efforts to establish a business center for persons with disabilities in Region Six(East Berbice Corentyne). The project aligns with her advocacy, as it provides opportunities for economic empowerment and fosters inclusivity.

Her advice to young girls is clear: “Believe in your power and embrace your uniqueness. Stay true to your values, never let anyone diminish your worth, and remember that your voice matters. You have the strength to inspire change and make a difference in the world.”
