China, US commerce ministers to discuss economic and trade issues soon

(China Daily)- China’s minister of commerce will hold a phone conversation with his US counterpart soon to discuss in-depth economic and trade issues of mutual concern between the two countries, CCTV News reported on Tuesday.

The conversation, which serves as a regular mechanism of dialogue between the two commerce departments, will include issues such as the export of electric vehicles from China.

On Jan 11, the Chinese and US commerce ministers had a substantive and practical phone conversation, addressing their respective economic and trade concerns. They also discussed national security boundaries related to the economic and trade sectors of the two countries.

Communications between China and the US are aimed at advancing the stable development of economic and trade relations and creating favorable conditions for mutual cooperation between businesses from both countries.
