(ECNS) — The Badaling Great Wall Scenic Area in Yanqing District, Beijing, opened its first drone delivery route on Friday.

This “air corridor” provides expedited delivery services for essential items such as heatstroke prevention supplies, emergency rescue equipment, and other first-aid products to visitors near the designated landing point.

Situated at the No. 9 Building of south extension of the Badaling Great Wall, the landing point was opened to the public at the end of 2023.

Visitors near the landing point can place orders through their mobile phones and receive their purchased goods within a few minutes.

After the end of the daily operation time, drones will assist the scenic area maintenance crew in transporting waste to designated recycling location, alleviating the daily transportation pressure on the staff.
