Monday former Georgetown Mayor Pt Ubraj Narine, Members of Parliament Roysdale Forde S.C and Ganesh Mahipaul, along with Region Four Chairman Daniel Seeram and attorney-at-law Darren Wade participated in the vibrant celebration of Phagwah alongside their Guyanese brothers and sisters.

Embracing diversity and fostering unity, their shared festivities highlighted the spirit of harmony and cultural significance behind this auspicious Hindu festival.
Phagwah, also known as Holi, is a widely celebrated festival that marks the arrival of spring and triumph of good over evil. It epitomises the values of love, forgiveness, and unity, bringing people from all walks of life together in a colourful burst of joy and camaraderie.
Phagwah was incorporated into the National Calendar of Events by the Forbes Burnham government. Burnham was the Founder Leader of the People’s National Congress (PNC) which is part of the Coalition partnership.
