Wang Yi expresses condolences over Moscow terrorist attack

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Tuesday left a message in an online condolence book launched by the Russian Embassy on the terrorist attack in Moscow.

Wang, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, extended his deep condolences to the victims of the terrorist attack, saying that China opposes all forms of terrorism, strongly condemns terrorist attacks and firmly supports the Russian government’s efforts to safeguard its national security and stability.

As many as 139 people were killed in an attack on a Moscow concert hall on March 22, the worst terrorist event in Russia for years.

Four men accused of involvement in the attack were charged with terrorism on March 24 and ordered to be detained pending trial.
