The stir of something new permeates the air. It’s refreshing, stimulating, and feels like exhilaration on another worldly level. Subways, buses, planes, and cars will soon be packed with purpose-driven passengers, as a different type of sports fan makes their way to one of three US stadiums.

They are traveling to New York, Texas, and Florida, from nearby cities, and even other countries. These fans booked their tickets as soon as the ballots opened on 2 February because they know what the USA is about to experience and they don’t plan to be left out. They aim to show the world how it’s done.

Start spreading the news… the ICC Men’s T20 Cricket World Cup is coming to America!

This is the moment that American-based cricket fans of the diaspora have long awaited. For years, they have stayed up, tuned in, and followed live matches as they played out in other parts of the world. Never for a moment did they imagine it would one day come to them.
