Mr. Leon Christian, the former national basketball player now at the helm of the Guyana Drone Soccer Group, is tasked with a pivotal mission. He aims to propel the Drone Soccer movement across Guyana, establishing a robust network of teams and laying the groundwork for both local and regional competitions. Christian’s vision extends beyond mere sport; it’s about crafting a community united by innovation, technology, and the thrill of competition.

“Our exhibition today showcased the immense curiosity, excitement, and willingness to participate in this new sport among our youth. Given their adeptness with new technologies, there’s no doubt that Guyana has the potential to excel on the global stage in Drone Soccer,” remarked Mr. Christian. His ambitious plans include a country-wide exhibition tour to ignite interest and secure sponsors for teams in every region, setting the stage for Guyana’s representation at the Drone Soccer World Cup in 2025.
