Who is this PPP administration trying to fool?

Dear Editor,

As we end the month of July, the editorial in the state-controlled newspaper and other similar outfits keep extolling the virtues of the PPP administration with language intended to fool the people. The latest declaration states and I quote “ The government’ determination to sustain these initiatives and navigate the evolving economic landscape, however, demands continued support from citizens, cooperation from opposition parties and adaptability in the face of unforeseen circumstances. It is time for all stakeholders to unite behind this vision, for the journey to a better tomorrow is one that must be undertaken together.”

CARICOM’s Shameful Silence as Cuba Stands in the Storm

Who is this PPP administration trying to fool? Together! You  ignore and bypass the Guyana Teachers Union, Guyana Public Service Union, the Trades Union Congress  IPADAG, the Press Association, the Opposition in Parliament, the Oil and Gas Governance Network  and any group that seeks independence and decency.

The State controlled media need to go back to school to learn the meaning of the word Together and to understand that they have not inherited the mantle of the divine rights of kings. This, dear people of Guyana, is the problem we face in the Cooperative Republic of Guyana.

Yours truly,

Hamilton Green

Elder
