In a shocking turn of events, the Guyana government is facing severe criticism over allegations of attempting to cover up the alleged sexual assault of an indigenous minor girl by a sitting PPP minister. The minister in question, who already has a history of sex accusations, has become the center of controversy and concern.

An anonymous source within the government shared with this newspaper that, “…not a single sitting minister would leave their girl child alone in the presence of this minister,” with some even going so far as to caution others to be wary of him. The gravity of the situation has led to public outrage, raising questions about the government’s handling of the matter.

Social activist Dr. David Hinds has been vocal about his dissatisfaction with the government’s response. He believes that the delayed investigation and the decision to put the minister on administrative leave are part of a cover-up to protect their own. Dr. Hinds further asserts that Minister Dharamlall has a track record of incidents of a similar nature, implicating the government’s involvement.

Expressing his lack of confidence in the police’s ability to fairly prosecute the case, Dr. Hinds believes that the matter should be tried in the court of public opinion. He strongly urges the people to hold the government accountable, emphasizing the need to raise their voices against such corruption.

Dr. Hinds also criticizes the silence of the US embassy on the matter, considering it as damning. The activist praises the courage of the teenage girl involved, hailing her as a hero for coming forward and bravely sharing her story. He calls on the public to provide her with love and support during this challenging time.

Highlighting the government’s treatment of Amerindians, Dr. Hinds condemns the incident as an example of racial oppression faced by indigenous communities. He argues that the government’s handling of the case further exposes their racist tendencies.

As this shocking story unfolds, the public remains vigilant, determined to seek justice and ensure that those responsible are held accountable. The courage of the young girl serves as an inspiration and a call to action for the entire nation.
