IDPADA-G monthly subventions shortly to be reinstated by Gov’t court told

The Commission, under the Constitution of Guyana, has the mandate to appoint, exercise disciplinary actions and remove teachers of non-board schools.

The term of the last commission ended August 2021. The Guyana Teachers Union in September 2021 wrote President Ali drawing the issue to his attention. The Union’s President Mark Lyte back then expressed concern the government did not respond to the letter. Also of concern to the Union was the understaffing of the schools and eligible teachers not being promoted because the Commission was not constituted.
