Advancing Greenhouse Technologies and Digital Sensors in Guyana

Earlier today students and teachers from the St. Joseph High School in Georgetown benefitted from a traffic education and sensitisation lecture delivered from ranks from the Police Traffic Department.

The traffic lectures to schools are being held under the theme ‘Safe Driving Saves Lives’.

Today’s lecture was conducted by Sergeant Richard Trotz and Corporal Farel Gray who are stationed at the Traffic Headquarters Education Unit at Eve Leary, Kingston.

The students and teachers were advised on the following: kerb-drill (look left…look right…look left again if the road is clear then cross), safety rules for pedestrians and cyclists, the effects of using drugs, the importance of the pedestrian crossing, peer pressure, respect for each other, discipline and determination, and weapons in school.

The ranks were applauded by the Acting Head Mistress Rajkumarie Lall for such a timely initiative and were encouraged to have continuous visits to the school.
