Dear editor,

Every single citizen of Guyana knows the problem.  African, Indian, Indigenous or Mixed, we all know that our roads are horrible, our healthcare system is inferior, our water quality poor–we all have black tanks, we all have bars on our windows to protect us from predators, our children attend substandard schools–the $30,000 taxpayer funded grants won’t save us.  We know that within each successive government are corrupt officials and some decent ones, we all know that the ruling party is deviously and especially corrupt.  We know that racism against African and Indigenous people is rampant.  We know discrimination against the poor and against women is the order of the day.

If President Irfaan Ali’s Government Continues Along their Partisan Development Path, they will Implicate International Companies by Committing Constitutional Violations…

But who will save us? Truly it has turned out that “people get the government they deserve” for we are paying the price of stupidity and loyalty to criminals and racists.  One only has to read the Chronicle newspaper to be attacked by the filth emanating out of the Honorable Kwame.  Oh Kwame, why do you allow yourself to be used that way?

We will continue to suffer editor.  Food prices are high, not just because of COVID but also because greedy businessmen have decided to cash in, yet the wail about local content this and that.  Ask them why foreign companies pay more to Guyanese citizens.  Shame on them!

Guyanese will continue to suffer until we ‘ketch some sense’ editor.  I hope it won’t be too late when we do.

Clarence John
