The ranks approached the woman and the Corporal identified himself as a policeman and then requested to carry out a search on a bag she had in her possession. The woman complied and then reached into the bag and took out a small transparent zip lock plastic bag containing a quantity of small whitish rock-like substance suspected to be cocaine and handed over same to the Corporal.

The woman was arrested and escorted her to the Parika Police Station, where the thirty-two (32) pellets were weighed and amounted to 3.3 grams.

The 29-year-old woman is in custody pending charges.
