Man dies after bike hits pothole

Police are investigating a fatal accident that occurred on Saturday 5th of February 2022 about 22:30 hrs on Laluni Access Road, Linden/Soesdyke Highway.
The accident claimed the life of 23-year-old Dave Taylor of Laluni Creek, Linden/Soesdyke Highway.

Police said in a press release that according to reports, the now deceased was driving motorcycle # CL3900 along with pillion rider 17-year-old Vishal Bahadur, west along the southern side of the said road at a fast rate of speed when he entered a pothole with water, which caused him to lose control of the cycle. As a result, he and the pillion fell to the road surface. They were picked up by public-spirited citizens and taken to the Diamond Diagnostic Centre where Dave Taylor was pronounced dead on arrival.

Vishal Bahadur was seen and examined and referred to the GPHC where he was further seen and examined by a doctor on duty, treated and admitted a patient for observation.
The body of the deceased is presently lying at the GPHC mortuary awaiting post mortem examination.
