Six arrested at WCD bar

Police arrested six males at Harlem, West Coast Demerara (WC) on Monday after an unknown call reported an alleged robbery under arms underway at Chill Out Bar.

A party of policemen went to the said location at around 19:10 hours and, upon arrival, further investigation revealed that a group of men, who were not known to the bar owners and patrons, were pelting bottles and chairs at other patrons.

The men, ages 18, 46, 23, 25, 23 and 20, were all highly intoxicated. Ranks managed to subdue and arrest them and they were escorted to the Vreed-en-Hoop Police Station. Statements were taken from the bar owner of the said bar and other eyewitnesses. Investigation in process.
