In Linden, Nin-Tec is well known for its mouthwatering strawberry and vanilla homemade ice-cream and soon, the rest of Guyana will know of this hidden treasure.

Not only is Nin-Tec’s Delicious Homemade Ice-cream healthier than most commercial brands but it is rich, sweet, creamy and smooth.

“The ice-cream is homemade, it has a richer taste, it is natural and a lot of people love it more than the artificial ice-cream,” said Jafaar Monroe, Owner and Manager of Nin-Tec.

Nin-Tec has been providing quality homemade ice-cream in the mining town for the past four years. However, the making of milk icicle is what paved the way for the production of homemade ice-cream.

“My mom use to make and sell the milk icicle on a small scale and then the business started catching on. So to expand our business my mother started doing the homemade ice-cream on a small scale and everyone started loving it and the business started growing from there,” Monroe recalled.

According to Monroe, Nin-Tec has been receiving endless support from persons of the community which is why he is motivated to continuously expand his business.

The ice cream was also endorsed by Member of Parliament, Jermaine Figueira who gave his approval via a Facebook post.

“In order for us to build our local economy, we must support our local businesses. This brother makes one of the best local ice-cream in Guyana, linden’s very own, brother Jafaar,” Figueira said.

Nin-Tec’s Delicious Homemade Ice-cream

Monroe is currently in the developing stage of adding new yummy flavours to Nin-Tec’s list of ice-cream.

Additionally, he noted that there is a great need for a larger production rate, hence, bigger equipment such as freezers and ice-cream maker machines are needed.

Currently, Monroe is seeking for companies that can offer business loans for his expansion project.

To get your Nin-Tec ice-cream visit Nin-Tec’s store at 245 Greenheart Street, Mackenzie, Linden or contact Jaafar Monroe on 6761245.
