Police destroy thousands of ganja plants in Yarrowkabra raid

The Guyana Police Force on Friday destroyed thousands of Marijuana plants aback of  Yarrowkabra Village, Soesdyke-Linden Highway. The exercise was led by three officers and eight other ranks, police said in a release.

During the exercise, approximately 7689 marijuana plants between three to five feet in height were destroyed by fire. A marking of the location could not be done to ascertain land ownership due to a lack of relevant equipment. There were no reported incident as no one was in the area at the time of the raid.
