A man was killed when a truck slammed into a parked pick-up on the Linden-Soesdyke Highway Saturday night.

Dead is 34 year-old Murvey Mahadeo La Penitence, Georgetown.
Enquiries disclosed that motor pick-up 4627 was stationary on the western side of the said road transferring goods to another pick-up when the truck which was proceeding north along the road at a fast rate of speed lost control and the right side front of it collided with the right side front of the pick-up which then collided with Murvey Andrew Madhoo and Sherwin Rhodius both of whom were standing between the two pick-up trucks.

Sherwin Rhodius was taken to the Linden Public Hospital where he was examined by a doctor and admitted as a patient. His condition is regarded as critical.

A breathalyzer test was conducted on the driver of the truck who was found to be below the prescribed limits with a BAC between .023% and .026 %.
