Duo sentenced to 18 months suspended sentence for simple larceny

Two 18-year-old men were on Wednesday sentenced to 18 months suspended sentence each when they appeared before Magistrate Esther Sam at the Wakenaam Magistrates’ Court.

Both men pleaded guilty.

The two men Kecin Dosramos, a labourer of Good Success, Wakenaam Island and 18 year-old Shawn Anthony, a labourer of San Souci Squatting Area, Wakenaam Island, were arrested on December 27, 2020 and were charged on January 27, 2021.

The accused were charged with Simple Larceny contrary to Section 164 of the Criminal Law Act chapter 8:01 committed on Noon ‘Paya’ Persaud.
