Man bludgeoned to death on Camp and Robb Streets

Police are investigating the murder of a man called ‘Curl up Toe’ who died after several injuries to head with a brick allegedly dealt to him by a 27-year-old male suspect of Toucan Drive, South Ruimveldt.

According to reports, the incident occurred on January 27, 2021 about 03:30hrs at Camp and Robb Street, Georgetown. The real age of the deceased is unknown. He is said to be about 45-years-old.

Inquiries from a security officer who was in the vicinity revealed that the suspect picked up a brick and dealt the victim who was sleeping on the roadway several lashes to his head and made good his escape in a northern direction. He was later arrested at a location in Charlotte Street.

The body which was examined by detectives and was observed with several injuries to the head was taken to the Lyken’s Funeral Home awaiting a post mortem. Investigations are ongoing.
