BA man found dead hours after leaving girlfriend home

The Guyana Police Force has launched an investigation into the murder of a 23-year-old Bachelor’s Adventure, East Coast Demerara man, who was found dead, on the road, with a single stab wound to the neck.

The dead man has been identified has Keith Andrew Willis called “Ghandi”, a mason by profession. The police suspect that the young man was killed between 23:00hrs on Sunday, December 13, 2020 and 6:10hrs on Monday, December 14, 2020 on Bachelor’s Adventure Access Road.

Investigations thus far have revealed that Willis left his home at around 16:30hrs on Sunday to attend a Football competition aback of Bachelor’s Adventure, East Coast Demerara. The game reportedly concluded at 20:30hrs, and it was then that Willis visited his girlfriend at Paradise Housing Scheme, E.C.D. According to the police, he left his girlfriend’s home at around 23:00hrs to go home but he never made it home.

At about 5:30hrs on Monday, Willis was seen lying motionlessly on the Bachelor’s Adventure Access Road. The discovery was made by a resident, who was proceeding to work at the time. The police were immediately called in.

Police investigators, upon arrival at the scene, examined the body, and a single stab wound was observed to the upper left side neck. The victim was escorted to the Georgetown Public Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Investigations are ongoing.
