In a statement, the police said Anderson was charged with the offence of murder in the course or furtherance of a robbery, contrary to Section 100 (1) (c) (i) of the Criminal Law Offence Act Chapter 8:01.

The incident reportedly took place between November 25 and 26.

Anderson appeared before Magistrate Faith Gusty via Skype at the Vreed-En-Hoop Magistrate Court where the charge was read to him. He was not required to plea, and was remanded to prison until January 14, 2021 for report.
