Guyana has recorded two more COVID-19 deaths taking the country’s death toll to 128. The Ministry of Health in a statement said the latest fatalities are a 74-year-old female from Region Four (Demerara-Mahaica) and a 57-year-old man from Region One (Barima-Waini). Both persons died while receiving medical attention.

The Ministry advises all to adhere to the protocols of the COVID-19 EMERGENCY MEASURES (NO.11), which are in effect until November 30, 2020. This order emphasises the need for correct and consistent use of a face mask when leaving your home; the importance of maintaining the six feet physical distance from others; and the need for good hand-hygiene to help reduce the spread of COVID-19.
