Trans Guyana Airways Launches Commercial Flights to Barbados

Trans Guyana Airways will from November 1, 2020 begin five weekly commercial flights to the Grantley Adams International Airport, Barbados, from the Eugene F. Correia International, Guyana.

The carrier said that the flights will facilitate travel to and from Barbados as well as connections with British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, Air Canada, American Airlines, Caribbean Airlines, InterCaribbean & Air Antilles.

“Trans Guyana Airways prides itself in taking great care to protect the health and safety of its customers and staff. Our procedures are updated regularly in keeping with the most current guidelines from Government and International Agencies with particular emphasis on controlling the risks associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. The safety and wellbeing of our customers and staff is our number one priority,” a statement from the entity said.

The Trans Guyana flights will operate on Sundays, Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays.

On Sundays, Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays, Trans Guyana will depart the Eugene F. Correia International Airport at 10:00 am to arrive in Barbados at 11:45am.

On Sundays  and Mondays, Trans Guyana will depart the Grantly Adams International Airport at 6:00pm and arrive at the Eugene F. Correia International Airport at 7:45pm.

On Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays Trans Guyana will depart Barbados at 5:3₩pm and arrive in Guyana at 7:15pm.

Passengers are allowed one 50LBS checked luggage and a 5lbs hand luggage. Passengers are required to pay for additional luggage.

Additionally, all passengers are required to present a negative PCR Test taken within 72 hours of departure.
